On November 1st, 2001 - FTPEditor 2.0 was released. The new version comes with new features and an improved user interface.

New features are:

• added editing features
• many bugs fixed
• advertisement-free

From version 2.0, FTPEditor is no longer ad-sponsored. The standard version can be used freely for 30 days. After that period it requires a registration code, which can be purchased from our website.

There are the 2 versions of FTPEditor available:

FTPEditor Standard - contains all basic features needed to edit files directly on FTP servers.

FTPEditor Pro is the advanced version for power-users which has several more features over the Standard version.
